「ビートルズのソーステープはここに全部持ってるんだぜ、コンピュータのPro Tools（一般に広く使われている音楽制作ソフト）に。何が聴きたい？」（会場笑）

ちょっと考えて僕はこう言った。

「ずっと憶測が憶測を呼んで、本まで出てるけど…『ハードデイズナイト』の最初のコード。あの最初のコードは何なんだい？」

「OK。聴かせてやるよ」

で、トラックを1本ずつ再生してみたんだ。全部一緒に聴くと、バーン…あの最高に素晴らしい音になっちゃうからな。

最初のコード。これはジョージ（・ハリスン）が12弦で弾いてる。ちょうどこんな感じでー。

（0:54）Fコード。Gを上に置いて…一番下にもG。で、そのGの隣にC。（訳注：1弦から3 1 2 3 3 3？）

（1:05）さ、次はポール（・マッカートニー）のベース。ポールのベースはDさ。

（1:13）ジョン（・レノン）のリズムギターはDコードのサンス…つまりGを乗っけてる。いいかい。

全部合わせるとこうさ。1、2、3、4…
